Michael Jackson's Death Ruled Homicide, Possible Manslaughter Charge - August 24, 2009 - The L.A. Coroner's office has ruled the death of late singer Michael Jackson a homicide. Dr. Conrad Murray, the physician who was at Jackson's side at the time of his death, could almost certainly be charged with manslaughter. "Evidence of manslaughter" was found at his Houston clinic, and toxicology reports show "lethal levels of propofol" in his blood. CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin suggests Dr. Murray showed "recklessness" in caring for Jackson in his final hours.
