· AN OFF-THE-WALL EXPERIENCE. Wolfenstein II rockets the action and chaos to new heights. As BJ “Terror-Billy” Blazkowicz, prepare for an adrenaline-fueled romp with a rag-tag group of resistance fighters all striving toward one common goal: kicking Nazis out of America! Featuring larger-than-life set pieces and an impressive arsenal of fully upgradeable retro sci-fi weaponry, blast your way through legions of advanced Nazi soldiers and über soldiers in this definitive first-person shooter.
· TIMELINES MATTER. The timeline you choose (Wyatt or Fergus) is a big deal. Not only does each timeline reward a specific gun – Laserkraftwerk for Fergus, Dieselkraftwerk for Wyatt -- the choice shakes up the group dynamic. Conversations are totally different, cut scenes take on a different tone. It’s worth running through the game (or at least a couple hours on a lower difficulty) in the opposite timeline to experience the difference.
· UPGRADE YOUR WEAPONS. Weapon upgrades are new to Wolfenstein II and make a SIGNIFICANT difference in the power and versatility of your guns. Whenever you find upgrade kits be sure to apply them to your preferred guns in the menu screen.
· CHANGE YOUR DIFFICULTY. You can always lower the difficulty level with no penalty, and bump it back up anytime you’re feeling more confident. Also, take advantage of the manual save feature. If you’re slowly progressing through an area, save every so often to avoid getting bounced back to your last checkpoint/auto-save.
· CONTRAPTIONS COMPLEMENT PLAYSTYLES. Contraptions are introduced about halfway through the game. Each contraption supports the three different playstyles – stealth, tactical and mayhem – but these aren’t meant to be prescriptive. Be flexible and do whatever works in any given situation. You can acquire a second contraption from doing side missions on Eva’s Hammer.
· EXPLORE. Our levels are even bigger in The New Colossus, so be sure to explore. You might find an alternate path, or a different approach to a tough enemy. There’s almost always another option if you’re struggling. Regularly deviating from the main objective will make for the most rewarding experience. If you’re turned around or lost, simply press the down arrow on the directional pad (G on keyboard) to bring up the objective marker.
· TAKE YOUR TIME BETWEEN MISSIONS. Evas Hammer – the game’s central HUB between missions – is home to your crew of resistance fighters. Take some time to explore it between missions. There’s always interesting conversations, side missions, and secrets to discover.
· ENIGMA CODES. Fallen Nazi commanders drop Enigma Codes. Use these in the Enigma Machine back on Evas Hammer to access Ubercommander assassination missions, featuring fresh takes on existing levels and new surprises to discover.
